Orthodontist

The fulfillment of providing patients with a service that improves their lives is the reason I was originally attracted to the field of orthodontics. I enjoy using my skills to create smiles that are both functional and beautiful.

I appreciate the challenging mental and applied components of orthodontics, and I truly enjoy positive interactions with my patients. It is very rewarding to enhance patients functionally, aesthetically, and emotionally, to boost their self-esteem, and to raise their quality of life.

Education and Continuing Education

I attended McGill University in Montreal, Canada, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in anatomy and cell biology. From there, I went on to receive my Doctorate of Dental Surgery, magna cum laude, from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, and completed my residency in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics (certificate) from the Eastman Institute for Oral Health at the University of Rochester.

Prior to joining Timberlane Dental, I held the rank of Major in the United States Air Force, and was the chief of orthodontics at the 579th Dental Squadron at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, DC.

I am a board certified orthodontist and regularly attend continuing education meetings. This allows me to stay informed to all the advances in our profession and allows for continuous improvement in my ability to provide the highest levels of care.

Outside the Office

I grew up in the town of Proctor Vermont as the youngest of four children, with two older sisters and one older brother. I live in St. Albans with my wife Heather, who was born and raised there, and our daughter Katherine. Both of our families have lived in Vermont for several generations, and we enjoy spending free time with them.

During the summer, my family and I enjoy boating on Lake Champlain. While on the water, we like to swim and water ski. We also love downhill skiing and hiking in the mountains. I am an avid sports fan and enjoy participating in and watching a variety of sporting events. My appreciation for athletics began when I was young and continued through my high school years, when I was captain of both the varsity football and basketball teams. My wife and I have enjoyed sharing our love of sports and outdoor activities with our daughter, and we look forward to continuing these activities together as a family as she grows.
